Getting Started...If your interested doing aikido and wondering how to get started, it easy...just turn up! Everyone in our club had their first class and would like to make yours memorable. Your are welcome to come to any advertised class, though we encourage you to consider our .

Your first class... (with our compliments) requires some comfortable clothing and your ready to go, a senior student (usually a black belt) will take you through a special one-on-one class designed to give you an overview of what aikido is about. You'll get to try out aikido and ask any questions you might have. If you like it and like what we do then your on your way and can come back for any of our regular (and begineer) classes.

Monthly beginners courses (details here)... On the first Tuesday of every month we run a special beginners course, for people new to aikido. This is a great way to get started together with a group of other new students. You'll be introduced to all aspects of aikido graduallly joining the rest of the class for training. preregistration is preferred. What else?... Regular training fees apply and when your ready we can supply you with training equipment though this is not necessary straight away. aikido warmups

Monthly intensive On the last Saturday of the month special training is held for all members and seniors. Gradings for Aikikids, Kyu and Dan gradings are also held quarterly during this time.

Regular Practice We currently practice aikido on or near three of the Griffith University Campuses. You are invited to come along to watch a class or train with us at any time at any of our dojos. Unless otherwise stated all dojos are closed on public holidays. Our summer break is from one week before Christmas to one week after new year inclusive.
